This song came about after a shared brainstorming session on the topic of fire, which like all elements of nature, can be useful and destructive, familiar and strange, predictable and chaotic, enticing and terrifying, encompassing a full range of physical and emotional experiences. The tango rhythms and melodies underscore the fiery contradictions and the dance we all do when trying to control something potentially dangerous.
